Skittles Night
This years skittles tournament was a great success! The event was held in the Gower Pub in Cathays Cardiff where we received a very warm welcome.
A total of 8 teams and 32 competitors took part. The evening got off to a good start with everyone looking forward to an evening of competition and fun. As the tournament continued through the evening there were a few surprises; one of the favourites to win NAW 4 failed to get through to the main final, they did however win the plate final against 'Skitt'l 'B' Alright on the Night' with a score of 37-33; the reigning champions ICT were knocked out in the final by the DT'S, score 39-30, which was a complete surprise to those on the winning team, which included me!
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and celebrations and commiserations continued through the night, with some of the winners reluctant to take off their medals.
A big thank you to those who took part and made the night a great success, to the Gower pub for their warm welcome and hospitality, to Keith Bezant for getting the medals, Tracey Barry for the play sheets and to James Walsh, skittle 'sticker-upper'.
