Have You Been Selected As An Olympic Games Maker?
If yes, then we are keen to hear from you and as a Cardiff Area member we may be able to offer some additional financial support. So if you have accepted a role as a Games Maker for either the Olympics or Paralympics let us know by Wednesday 15th February.
Do you live or work in Rhondda Cynon Taff?
Would you be interested in a discounted membership to use council leisure centres?
We have been asked by several members to look into a corporate deal with RCT Council for leisure centre membership. In order to agree a deal we need a minimum of 10 people to join the scheme.
The monthly cost is £31.55 by direct debit and this would be discounted to £26.00 per month under the corporate scheme

Code of Conduct
Disappointingly, due to a recent incident on one of our trips, we have felt it necessary to remind members of our code of conduct.
Any member(s) who, in the opinion of CSSC organising officials or the management of the host venue, is causing an undue disturbance, behaving in a threatening manner or is likely to attract criticism of the event, will be required to modify their behaviour immediately or leave the event.
Unacceptable behaviour can lead to exclusion and in severe cases, disciplinary action.
We also wish to remind members that it is YOUR responsibility to arrive by the agreed time for all departures.

Did you know you can retain your CSSC membership even if you leave the civil service?
As all civil servants are aware, our new government has suggested reductions in the size of the public sector. ATTENTION GAMERS OR WANNABE GAMERS!
Do you Play online games on the PS3, Xbox 360 or your PC at home?
Think you could cut it at COD Modern Warfare 2 or FIFA 10 expert?
Would you like the chance to prove your mustard?
Then join us and challenge your friends and colleagues at these games!
We will be playing Modern warfare 2. We hold private and online matches on a Thursday night usually between 7-9pm, The Thursday night games are varied some are the basic team based games others are made up such as the knife only matches and sniper only matches. There will also be inter CSSC games where we will be able to play other areas of the Civil Service. We will also be holding the second open competition in Reading sometime this year all welcome PS3, Xbox360, PC. There will be prizes up for grabs,
